Cassandre Beaugrand arrived in Pontevedra on 26 September as the woman to beat, her four previous straight wins providing the perfect 4000 points and a 150-point cushion over Britain's Beth Potter in the chase for the 2026 World Triathlon Championship title. It was a demanding Olympic distance challenge that lay ahead on a grinding bike course and run to decide the champions of the last Series as we know it, and the athletes delivered another blockbuster season finale and ultimate champion, Georgia Taylor-Brown, Kate Waugh, defending champion Lisa Tertsch and Marta Kropko all featuring across a massive afternoon at the World Triathlon Championship Finals Pontevedra.
